L Restaurant

The challenge to work directly with the highest acclaimed chef in the city to create a true “Fine Dining” experience was an opportunity that simply doesn’t come along every day. For Restaurant L, Jean Robert de Clavel wanted to reference, while modernizing, the elegance of the legendary Maisonette’s decor.

In the main dining room, we participated in the re-design of the older Maisonette settee while changing the profile to replicate the arch of the Cincinnati’s Queen City Tower “Tiara.” We were fortunate to have one of the original settees that we could reverse engineer to exact specifications while evolving the shape of the back.

The bar banquettes created a towering edifice not seen anywhere else in the city -more architectural than simple furniture.
