By the time we became involved with 21c Metropole, Cincinnati – Conde Nast had already named it the Best Hotel in the Midwest.

We discovered when we were asked to help with their refresh that even though they had initially installed quality seating, it simply was not engineered to be reupholstered in a restaurant that was open 7 days a week for 3 meals a day. It became operationally imperative that we build our client’s new pieces to be far more operationally friendly moving forward.At Orange Chair, we consider the operators first. We understand that restaurants cannot close because of upholstery issues! Our banquettes are engineered in a modular fashion that allow segments to be replaced on extremely short notice. Seats, decks and even backs can be recreated independently and then literally dropped into the existing banquette run without missing a single meal.
