San Diego Padres

After completing the Handlebar Club thrones for the Cincinnati Reds in in preparation for the 2015 MLB All-Star Game, management for the Padres was able to tour Great American Ball Park on a reconnaissance mission for their hosting of the All-Star Game in 2016. What they wanted was their very own THRONES.

Our challenge was to completely re-engineer the concept to “flat–pack” the product to facilitate cross-country shipping that would allow for a small team of two to go out to San Diego and install the run of 34 units. Although the scope was only half of the Handlebar order, we were able to minimize instillation to a day and a half on-site, about 20% of the Reds total installation time. We once again proved that Orange Chair doesn’t just solve design challenges, but logistics challenges as well.
